Robredo commends ‘rich wellspring’ of Filipino generosity amid the pandemic

Robredo, in her personal Facebook page, gave credit to the efforts of two groups who donated lap tables or lap desks and reusable face masks. These will be distributed to the beneficiaries under programs run by the Office of the Vice President .

The first set of donations, Robredo said, were lap tables from the group of Alex and Yvette Yao who were able to get about a thousand pledges already. The donated lap study tables were turned over to the OVP’s “Bayanihan E-Skwela” initiative with “Kaya Natin” Movement. Last week, Robredo’s office also launched “Bayanihan E-skwela” which is her latest initiative on education. The project features a series of instructional videos shown on YouTube and Facebook to help parents, students, and teachers students cope as the country’s education system shifts into remote or distance learning.
