Rio cites DICT’s gains, awaits Duterte action on his resignation

When news broke out of Rio’s offer to resign, some camps immediately linked the issue to a possible irregularity in the DICT, which is now headed by Secretary Gregorio Honasan III.

“Pending the President’s action on my resignation letter, I intend to fully make use of this great opportunity for me to continue to champion what we have started in the Department, such as the third telco, and common towers and passive telco infrastructure initiatives and the national broadband program.
