Legazpi City : Responders struggle on Saturday morning to retrieve the remains of the four passengers of a Cessna plane that crashed near the crater of Mayon Volcano a week ago on February 17.

Camalig Mayor Carlos 'Caloy' Baldo Jr, ground commander of the retrieval operations, said that as of Saturday morning 385 individuals were mobilized in an effort to bring down the cadavers from the summit.'Team of responders are struggling to set up anchor bolts due to the area's loose and damp soil caused by the heavy rains early this morning. The anchor bolts with safety lines are set to be utilized in relaying the bodies down the slopes of the volcano,' Baldo said.

The team presently moving to the crash site is composed of 3 members of the Naval Special Operations Group , 7 from the Philippine Army, 3 from the Bureau of Fire Protection - Special Rescue Force and some volunteer mountaineers, Baldo said.
