Resigned University of the Philippines official Teodoro Herbosa hit what he called a"troll army" after receiving backlash over his"death by community pantry" tweet, prompting his resignation as executive vice president of the country's premier state university.
"Bawal na ba ako tumuligsa sa mali? Ang sinasabi ko lang ay totoo... Noong gabi ay tuloy-tuloy na 'yun. Nag apologize ako pero lalong umigting. Sabi ko mukhang may troll army. kasi yung mga tumutuligsa sa akin ay mga new accounts lang, anonymous accounts lang,"Herbosa said that he received thousands of hate messages after tweeting,"Death by 'community pantry.
Herbosa also said he was saddened by the fact that it was from his colleagues in UP who was bashing him on social media, without asking him first. He had also defended President Rodrigo Duterte and Health Secretary Francisco Duque from criticisms of poor management of the pandemic.
He does not deserve UP.
Boss Herbosa, stop the nit-picking.. just do what you can actually implement or operationalize in your current position of authority or social status. JUST DO IT
It's odd how one would choose to criticize private individuals for having weak systems in delivering relief and not the government that has hundreds of billions of resources and still come up significantly short.
