Tropical cyclone wind signal No. 1 has been raised over Eastern Samar province and the eastern portion of Northern Samar, as the weather disturbance slowly moves westward.As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the center of the storm was spotted 670 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It packed maximum sustained winds of 55 km per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
On Wednesday, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains may be expected in the Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Samar and Eastern Samar. The provinces of Romblon, Marinduque and southern Quezon will experience light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains.
