In an advisory issued on Friday, June 9, PAGASA said Occidental Mindoro, Calamian Islands, and northwestern Antique may receive 50 to 100 millimeters of rain on Saturday.
“Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards,” PAGASA warned. PAGASA advised the public to exercise caution during severe thunderstorms, as these may trigger landslides or flash floods, especially in areas that are vulnerable to these hazards.
