The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) rolled out the Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) program at Camp Karingal, Sikatuna Village, Quezon City on Monday, Jan. 16.

“Ang Team QCPD ay buong pusong sumusuporta sa lahat ng programa ng gobyerno para sa ikakabuti ng ating mamamayan at sinisigurado namin na patuloy ang ating operasyon laban sa illegal na droga upang mabigyan namin ng ligtas na komunidad ang QCtizens ,” QCPD Brig. Gen. Nicolas D. Torre III said. DILG Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communication lawyer Margarita N. Gutierrez expressed her gratitude to the QCPD officers for their untiring efforts in keeping peace and order in the city.

A total of 142 barangay captains in the city delivered their pledge of commitment and support to the BIDA program. It was followed by the graduation of the 415 persons who used drugs from the Community Based Drug Rehabilitation Program .The BIDA program is a nationwide anti-illegal drugs advocacy involving local government units , national government agencies , and other key sectors of society to focus on drug demand reduction and rehabilitation. It was initiated by DILG last Oct. 7.
