QC residents arrested for violating LuzonLockdown post bail through crowdfunding

MANILA - The 21 residents of Quezon City who were arrested last week for breaking the rules of the Luzon lockdown posted bail Monday through the help of crowdfunding.

The residents of Sitio San Roque spent the weekend in jail after they gathered along EDSA on April 1 to protest the lack of food assistance from the local government. The "San Roque 21" were able to post bail at the Metropolitan Trial Court of Quezon City, according to a statement from human rights group Karapatan.Celebrities were among those who chipped in to raised funds for the residents' bail.
