Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has issued an executive order to facilitate the delivery of appropriate benefits and assistance to former rebels or rebel returnees under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).

Under Belmonte’s order, the E-CLIP committee was reconstituted to provide further assistance such as livelihood, educational, and medical assistance to rebel returnees or former rebels.

The committee is mandated to ensure the delivery of services under the national government’s E-CLIP as well as ensure proper documentation and referral needs of former rebels to appropriate agencies and partner institutions.
