– The regional office of the Land Transportation Franchise and Regulatory Board in Central Mindanao has denied it issued new tariff rates for passenger vans, multicabs, and other public utility vehicles plying Cotabato-Davao routes and warned against any fare adjustment.LTRFB-12 Director Paterno Reynaldo Padua warned drivers against charging excessive fees lest they would face sanctions.

He issued the statement after he received several complaints from passengers, especially those riding in vans. Jake, an employee at the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, Cotabato, said he was surprised when he rode in a van for the Kabacan-Kidapawan route and was charged P70 when it was supposed to be only P60.

An additional P2 for every kilometer is charged, the matrix showed. The distance between Kidapawan and Kabacan is 30 kilometers. To clarify matters, especially to van drivers and operators, Padua said he will distribute fare matrix to all PUVs.Related Posts
