Lundy, a Chihuahua puppy, was brought to the shelter when he was four weeks old but can’t walk around, possibly because of a spinal injury. While Herman, a pigeon suffering from neurological damage, permanently lives at the shelter.
According to Mia Foundation founder Sue Rogers, the two have become inseparable and are often caught cuddling together.“Lundy weighs only one pound now, so we will have to wait for the chair,” she added.The New York-based rescue center has adopted out over 1,000 pets with birth defects over the years.
