Korean rapper Psy released his new album “Psy 9th” on April 29 fronted by “That That ,” which garnered more than 30 million views on YouTube in one day and topped iTunes upon release.
In addition, “That That (prod. & feat. Suga of BTS” topped iTunes Top Songs chart in 73 countries and regions including the US, Canada and Japan. The album, meanwhile, topped iTunes in Indonesia, Singapore, and Taiwan upon release.During a press conference for the album on April 29, Psy revealed how he and Suga got to work together for “That That.”
He added, “Back then, I was concerned about the fact that I should stop making only EDM-based dance songs, but I couldn’t do something slow. What kind of dance song was the question, and I had in mind the Latin-vibe, which was exactly what Suga had brought me.”
