Philippine Red Cross volunteers and staff crossed two rivers and trekked through a mountain to bring aid to earthquake-hit Barangay Sabnangan and Sitio Pega in Luba town, Abra, over the weekend.The kit contains 12 body soap bars, five laundry soap bars, 40 pieces of sanitary napkins, three pieces 70 cm x 30 cm bath towels, two pieces 130 cm x 60 cm bath towels, six rolls toilet paper, two tubes of toothpaste, five toothbrushes, and four razors.

The PRC continues its Northern Luzon earthquake response in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies . As of August 15, 2022, the PRC has provided the following humanitarian aid, among others: 1,091,427 liters of water through its water tankers, hot meals to 18,488 persons, 12,568 bottles of water, 1,590 hygiene kits, 1,404 food packs, jerry cans to 1,223 families, and sleeping kits to 550 families.ay laging nandyan upang ibsan ang sitwasyon ng ating mga kababayan matapos ang isang sakuna

. [Just like before, the Red Cross is always there to give them assistance especially after a disaster]” PRC Chairman and CEO Richard J. Gordon said. Gordon said that the PRC is doing everything just to reach those who are in need of help in far-flung areas.
