MANILA—All 42 activists arrested in Iloilo on Friday for protesting the death of Bayan Muna coordinator Jory Porquia have been released after an Iloilo judge allowed them to post bail of P12,000 each,

the National Union of Peoples Lawyers said Saturday.

The group is seeking justice for Porquia, who was gunned down by unidentified men in his home in Iloilo City as he was distributing relief goods.They are now facing charges of violating Republic Act 880 or The Public Assembly Act of 1985; Disobedience of Persons in Authority relating to Executive Orders 48 and 55; the Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act; and the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act.
