Para kay Pokwang , hindi reponsibilidad ng anak na tulungan ang kaniyang mga magulang kung matatanda na ang mga ito.Sa kaniyang Instagram stories, sinimulan ni Pokwang ang tanong ng: “Responsibilidad ba ng anak na tulungan ang kanilang magulang kapag sila ay matanda na?”

“Para sakin, NO! Basta ayusin lang nila buhay nila at itaguyod ang mga anak nila nang maayos, masaya na ako,” paliwanag niya na may kasamang heart emoji.Si Ria Mae ay anak ni Pokwang sa dating karelasyon, si Malia ay anak ng aktres sa kaniyang ex-partner na si Lee O’Brian, na ipina-deport na palabas ng bansa kamakailan.
