Reports of a data breach in the logistics system surfaced at around 10 a.m. yesterday, according to PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo.MANILA, Philippines —
“As an immediate response, the PNP’s information technology officer shut down the system to prevent further potential leaks. Initial assessments, however, did not show evidence of breach,” Fajardo told a press briefing at Camp Crame. When asked about the specifics of the breach and whether any data had been compromised, Fajardo said the probe is ongoing and “no conclusive findings have been made thus far.”
She noted that the logistics data information system encompasses the logistical resources of the PNP.
