A MONTH after President Ferdinand Marcos formally assumed the role of chief executive, the Philippine National Police said it seized a total of P904.85 million worth of illegal drugs.In a statement, the PNP said this was done in 4,650 operations in July alone.The PNP said this highlighted the government's stiff anti-illegal drug campaign.
According to the date from the PNP directorate for operations on Monday night, a total of 5,591 drug suspects were arrested, 16 were killed in operations, and 188 were caught during 'Oplan Tokhang' activities from July 1 to 31.Another 164 suspects, meanwhile, surrendered to authorities.
