MANILA, Philippines: Phoenix coach Jamike Jarin isn't pressing the panic button despite ending up winless in the 2023 Converge Pocket Tournament that just concluded last Tuesday.

The Fuel Masters went 0-3 in the pocket tournament after dropping their games against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, the Blackwater Bossing and Converge FiberXers.'We played three games and we lost all three games by four points. We didn't play our import that much and we had a lot of players under the weather but it was good though because we got a chance to play our rookies,' Jarin told The Manila Times on Wednesday, October 18.

So thise are what we need to improve,' stressed the Phoenix mentor, who hopes to see his rookies blend in and work with veterans Jason Perkins, Javee Mocon, RJ Jazul, Raul Soyud, RR Garcia, Reden Celda, along with up and fast-rising playmaker Tyler Tio.Rivero, the former two-time UAAP men's basketball champion, exploded for 28 points in Phoenix's 103-96 loss to Blackwater.The athletic Rivero shot 10-of-15 from the floor, while going 3-of-6 from downtown.'Ricci will help us a lot.
