The Philippine economy expanded 7.4 percent in the second quarter of the year, according to data released by the government on Tuesday.

This growth, Socioeconomic Planning Secretary Arsenio M. Balisacan said, makes the country the second fastest growing economy in the ASEAN after Vietnam. The PSA said major economic sectors, namely: Agriculture, forestry, and fishing, Industry and Services all posted positive growths in the second quarter of 2022 with 0.2 percent, 6.3 percent, and 9.1 percent, respectively.
