The Philippines has condemned the recent satellite launch of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea or North Korea using ballistic missile technology.In a statement, the Department of Foreign Affairs said such actions “provokes tensions and undermines economic progress, peace, and stability in the Korean Peninsula and in the Indo-Pacific region.
”“The Philippines has repeatedly called on the DPRK to comply with its international obligations under relevant UN Security Council resolutions, and to commit to constructive and peaceful dialogue with the Republic of Korea,” the DFA said. “The Philippines has consistently supported the call for a complete, verifiable, and irreversible denuclearization of the DPRK,” it added.
