The number of COVID19 cases in the Philippines surpassed 25,000 on Saturday, with 504 fresh cases, the highest in a day since the Department of Health started reporting fresh/late cases.

MANILA -- The number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippines surpassed 25,000 on Saturday, official figures from the Department of Health showed.

In its latest bulletin, the health department reported 504 fresh cases, or those validated within the past 3 days. Meanwhile, of the 103 late cases, or test results validated 4 days ago or earlier, 42 were from Metro Manila while the 61 came from other regions.
