The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday logged 1,234 new COVID-19 cases, while the active tally dropped to 18,430.

The National Capital Region recorded the highest number of new cases in the past two weeks with 4,616, followed by Calabarzon with 1,989, Central Luzon with 1,028, Western Visayas with 986, and Central Visayas with 935.

The death toll rose to 64,701 with 19 new fatalities.As of Friday, the national bed occupancy rate was 24.1%, with 6,793 occupied and 21,401 vacant beds.A total of 12,679 individuals were tested on Friday, and 339 testing laboratories submitted data. —
