The Philippine government aims to vaccinate all medical frontliners, who are first in the new priority list of COVID-19 vaccine recipients, within a month.
"Inaasahan po natin na...sa buong buwan na darating ay at least lahat iyong medical frontliners at saka iyong immediate na may priority ay at least nasimulan na. Pero definitely, hindi po aabot ng isang buwan para matapos natin ang lahat ng mga medical frontliners,"in the priority list Roque also noted that non-medical staff working in health facilities – like interns, nursing aides, and janitors – are also part of the first batch of recipients.
The Department of Health earlier said it aims to finalize a master list of priority healthcare workers for vaccination by February 15,"Dahil inaasahan nating magsisimula na tayo sa a-kinse, mayroon na pong mga listahan iyan. Sa katunayan iyong mga medical frontliners, kumpleto na po ang mga pangalan nila,"Vice President Leni Robredo, in her weekly radio show on Sunday, emphasized the need for a list of recipients of the vaccine for a smooth rollout.
