Senator Panfilo Lacson said PhilHealth released over P200 million worth of funds to hospitals treating only one COVID-19 patient each. | CMarquezINQ

Lacson lamented that there were other hospitals full of COVID-19 in dire need of funds from PhilHealth.

“This is a surprising allegation. We got this report and we will ask [at a planned Senate hearing] if this is true. But this has records,” he said. According to Lacson, five hospitals in two regions are involved in this reported scheme from PhilHealth. He pointed out that its debt-to-equity ratio was falsified in its financial statement for 2019. According to him, it was actually 1:0.99.

CMarquezINQ iampinglacson sana naman ang pera for the sick ay mabigay para sa may sakit. Hindi kay huntavirus. Maawa ka naman sa mga tao. 🙏🙏🙏

CMarquezINQ Gatasan ng mga kaibigan ni Tatay D!

CMarquezINQ Mr. Lacson these corruptions in Philhealth should have been your top priority and not the passage of the Anti Terror Law! People badly need medical assistance from the government especially those who don't have private insurance!

CMarquezINQ If we have enough evidence, file a CASE.

CMarquezINQ Hindi na tayo nawalan ng korapsyon.

CMarquezINQ Eh di wag tanggapin mga pasyente na may covid. Instant pera agad yan... hahaha
