Pangilinan-led Philex Mining Corp. expects to rebound this year after the decline posted in 2022, driven by the additional mineable reserves it identified that extended its Padcal mine life.

According to Philex chairman Manuel Pangilinan, the growth projection comes even amid the lingering impact of the war in Ukraine and its adverse inflationary effect on food, power, and fuel.

“That being said, we still expect Philex Mining to grow in 2023,” he added, citing the recent term sheetPhilex also reported the confirmatory drillings successfully identified additional mineable reserves in its Padcal mine, extending its mine life from 2024 to 2027, which Pangilinan said were “both good starts to what looks like a promising year.”

I believe that 2023 is the year for Philex, it can really help a lot of people with those ne drillings and also the community around it.

I wish every mining corporations follow ResponsibleMining the most important thing that everyone must learn

One of things I think that could stop mining is the miners who doesnt follow ResponsibleMining it could get worse if nasilip sila na wala sa ayos.

Silangan is coming, we can really go back in track, huwag na rin sana magkaroon ng kung ano-ano sagabal sa mining industry.

This war in ukraine really affected lots of industries hoping it stop and let the economies go back to normal. Including mining it really did something to PH during the pandemic.

PhilexMiningPA really dodged the bullet with its Silangan mine and new Macawiwili reserves. But let this be a reminder that ResponsibleMining is volatile so it doesn't pay to impose unreasonably harsh restrictions on it. ChamberOfMines
