The Philippine team is all set to compete in the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Under-18 Women's Softball Asia Cup to be held in Pingtan, Fujian, China from August 29 to September 3, 2023.

The Philippines is bracketed in Group A along with China, South Korea, and Hong Kong China while Japan, Chinese Taipei, India, and Singapore are bunched in Group B. The group stage will be a round-robin format with the top two countries from each bracket competing in the Super Round and the remaining countries battling it out in the Placement Round.

We are extremely proud of their progress and now it's up to the girls to bring this one home,' said Lhuillier, a longtime patron of softball and tennis in the Philippines. The Asia Cup is also a qualifying tournament for the WBSC Under-18 Women's Softball World Cup to be held in 2024.The Philippines, ranked fourth in the Asian Region behind top seed Japan, No. 2 Chinese Taipei and No. 3 China, will vie for one of the three available tickets for the 2024 World Cup.
