This was highlighted during the state visit of Brunei Darussalam’s Second Minister of Defense Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Md Yussof to Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City last week.
During the meeting, Andolong said that Lorenzana expressed appreciation for Brunei Darussalam’s support in maintaining the peace and order in Mindanao through its contribution to the International Monitoring Team and the Independent Decommissioning Body . The IMT aims to monitor the implementation of peace process between the Philippine government and one of the largest rebels in the region, the Moro Islamic Liberation Front .
