“Of course, it is expected that an Asian country will be their next location.”

SENATORS Maria Josefa Imelda “Imee” Marcos and Panfilo Lacson Sr. on Sunday urged economic managers to lure American businessmen leaving China to include the Philippines in their relocation plan.

Marcos, chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Affairs, called the planned relocations “the silver lining to the dark cloud of Covid-19 from which the Philippines should not blink.” Lacson noted that many European and American businessmen were leaving China. “Of course, it is expected that an Asian country will be their next location,” he said in Filipino.
