In support of the country’s national vaccination program against the COVID-19, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) vaccinated nearly 4,000 people from Luzon to Mindanao in a single day.

In support of the country’s national vaccination program against the coronavirus disease , the Philippine Red Cross vaccinated nearly 4,000 people from Luzon to Mindanao in a single day.“The Red Cross will always be there where we are needed. Our goal is to vaccinate as many as we can,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Sen. Richard Gordon said.PRC said Gordon deployed PRC’s Bakuna teams and inoculated 2,536 individuals in government-run Bakuna Centers around Mindanao.

According to PRC Health Services, PRC administered 855 doses from four Bakuna Centers with PRC Zamboanga providing 418 doses, PRC Tarlac providing 194 doses, PRC Boni providing 45 doses, and the PRC Logistics and Multipurpose Center providing 198 doses. Meanwhile, two Bakuna Buses operated in Luzon and jabbed 561 individuals as the mobile clinics were deployed to Lucena, Quezon vaccinating 225, and to Cagayan vaccinating 336.

As of Dec. 6, the PRC has inoculated 719,130 individuals through their 17 Bakuna Buses and 25 PRC Bakuna Centers of which 275,882 individuals are fully vaccinated. Aside from the COVID-19 vaccines, PRC said that it shoulders all other costs under the COVID-19 vaccination program of the government including but not limited to syringes, mobilization, and vaccinator allowances.
