The Department of Health reported on Wednesday, Jan. 19, a total of 22,958 new coronavirus disease cases, the lowest in the past week.

Wednesday’s case bulletin brings the total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic to 3,293,625. Active cases stood at 270,728 or 8.2 percent of the total number of cases. Of this, 257,632 are mild, 8,335 are asymptomatic, 2,970 moderate, 1,487 are severe while 304 are in critical condition.
DOH also reported 36,611 new recoveries bringing the tally to 2,969,853 or 90.2 percent of the total number of cases.
