PH receives P23 B aid from Japan for virus campaign

The Japanese government, through the Japan International Cooperation Agency , on Friday announced the release of 50 billion Japanese Yen to the Philippines as part of the COVID-19 Crisis Response Emergency Support Loan to immediately help the country deal with the pandemic.

The Philippines has 153,660 confirmed number of COVID-19 cases as of Aug. 14, the highest in Southeast Asia. “We will continue to explore new and innovative ways to deliver our development cooperation program in response to the Philippines’ immediate needs and consistent with our mandate to promote inclusive and sustainable growth and a better quality of life for all,” he said.
