About a thousand residents affected by the eruption of Taal volcano benefitted from the relief packs distributed by the Philippine Navy in Balayan, Batangas on Friday.
“These benevolent endeavors of our very supportive and reliable reservists are just the start of a series of HADR operations,” Climacosa said. Meanwhile, at least 32 disaster risk reduction teams within Manila and Cavite areas were fielded by the Navy to help in the evacuation of thousands of residents that remain trapped in hazard areas because of Taal’s unrest.
