The DOH reported 12,159 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, and a much higher number of recoveries at 27,727, bringing down the active cases to 90,927. | zacariansINQ

Of the total patients currently afflicted with the serious respiratory illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, 88.4 percent are suffering mild cases, 16.2 percent are asymptomatic, 6.70 percent moderate, 3.4 percent severe, and 1.4 percent critical.

The health agency also said that 47 duplicates were removed from the total case count — of which 32 were recoveries.
