“Mindanao [is] showing signs of plateauing, [while] Visayas remain on a plateau,” the DOH said in its Covid-19 situation report on Friday, Sept. 2.The DOH recorded a total of 2,452 new coronavirus cases on Friday, bringing the tally of active infections nationwide to 23,703. Currently, the number of “severe and critical cases remain on a plateau, with less than 1,000 cases,” the DOH said.Despite improvements in the daily Covid-19 numbers, the DOH has recommended to extend the state of calamity due to the pandemic.
