But the Aussies quickly recovered with three more runs in the fifth inning, setting the tone in the game.Still, it was a gallant stand for the Cebuana Lhuiller-backed Blu Boys, with shortstop Justine John delivering a crucial hit and driving in three runs, maintaining his impressive .429 batting average and 1.429 OPS.

Outfielder Francis also shone brightly, achieving a .500 batting average with two hits in three at-bats, while third baseman Mark Joseph Quezon contributed significantly with a hit and an RBI, showcasing his ability to get on base and score. "It was tough, but the boys showed great heart and determination," said ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier."This tournament is far from over for us. We're ready to bounce back and give it our all in the next games."

Up next for the Blu Boys will be host Mexico as they try to stay alive in the tournament serving as a qualifier to the 2025 World Cup in Prince Albert, Canada.
