Presidential aspirant and Manila mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, Jan 5, reiterated that the welfare of the people is paramount over politics.“Hayaan mo na yang kampanya, yang politika sa kanila na yan, regalo ko na sa kanila yan. Okay na ako ,” he said in an interview.
“Dito, magfocus lang tayo mabuhay ang tao, panatag ang tao, maramdaman ng tao na may gobyerno, ayun masaya na ako dun. Ano naman yan eh, destiny yan, kahit na anong mangyari. Basta importante, gampanan muna natin ang tungkulin natin ,” he added. Domagoso had earlier said he has no plans yet on resuming his “Listening Tour” as he is now focused on responding to the coronavirus disease surge driven by the Omicron variant.
“Wala, hindi ko talaga iniisip. Ang gusto ko talaga ngayon kapag kayo ay na-impeksyon ay magamot namin kayo. Ang gusto ko ngayon, pag may naimpeksyon, gumaling kayo agad. Gusto naming meron kayong pasilidad, meron kayong doctor (No, I don’t really think about it. What I really want now is when you get infected, you will be treated immediately. We want you to have a facility, to have a doctor,” Domagoso said during his inspection of the Araullo Quarantine Facility on Jan. 4.
