MANILA - The House Committee on Justice approved on Wednesday the committee report on House Bill 2946 that penalizes the act of throwing hard objects at motor vehicles.

Violators would be sentenced to 25 years imprisonment and fined P100,000, exclusive of civil liabilities, in the event that the act results in the death of any person. If the incident causes injury on any person, violators will be imprisoned for five years, and mandated to pay P15,000, in addition to civil liabilities for medical expenses and rehabilitation of the victim, the bill said.
