BREAKERS from all over the country gather Sunday for the Philippine Dancesport Federation Breaking National Ranking 2023 at the Whitespace Manila on Chino Roces Avenue Extension in Makati City.
The event seeks to bring out the best homegrown Filipino breakers who topped the regional qualifiers in four clusters—Northern Luzon, National Capital Region/Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The finalists will vie for national pool spots in breaking, formerly breakdancing, that is on the Paris 2024 Olympics program.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed optimism that Filipino breakers will excel in this new Olympic sport as they bring with them the Filipino heart and excellence at the world’s premier sports event. The event is an initiative of the PDSF in collaboration with the Philippines Sports Commission, Philippine Olympic Committee, Presidential Communications Office, Radio Television Malacañang and Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez of TINGOG Partylist.
