Some 1,233 families affected by a fire that hit Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila on Feb. 4 were recently given grocery packs by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma said she deployed a team to Baseco to distribute their “Bundle of Love” grocery packs to the fire-displaced families.Garma said the agency wants Filipinos affected by fire and calamities “to feel that they are not alone—that they have a government they can rely on.”Garma said the aid they gave to the residents of Baseco Compound came from the generous bettors who patronize their products.

“I am appealing to the public to continue patronizing our products, because many Filipino families rely on PCSO,” she said.
