PCOO: Duterte’s 4th SONA to reflect Philippines’ ‘future’

MANILA—President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Address on Monday will reflect "how the future will look like" in the country, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said Saturday.

Andanar emphasized that the upcoming Presidential annual address, Duterte's 4th, will be one of the most important SONAs of the chief executive as it will revolve around his "legacy." The "Duterte legacy" for the next 3 years, according to Andanar, will address the issues of poverty alleviation, infrastructure, and peace and order.

Malacañang earlier said that Duterte will likely focus on his 2016 campaign issues such as the war on drugs, crime and corruption in his upcoming speech.

It should reflect the “present”. That’s why it is the “State” of the Nation Address.

It's called State of the Nation not the Future State of the Nation. Ganyan talaga kapag walang accomplishment. Kapag tinatangon ka kung nagawa mo na trabaho mo, sasabihin mo na gagawin ko pa lang kahit 3 taon mo nakahilata at nanonood ng Netflix at wala inasikaso kundi politika
