ORMOC CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard here joined the celebration of the 60th Earth Day through a coastal cleanup at the Malbasag River here on Saturday, March 25.Commodore Jimmy Elazegui said joining the cleanup activity was the squadron’s way of supporting awareness of climate change that has brought catastrophic situations in many parts of the world.

He added that their station collected 16 sacks of non-biodegradable trash, which approximately weighed about 450 kilos.
