PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to a modern, future-ready maritime industry, coinciding with this year’s global celebration of the Day of the Seafarer.

The Chief Executive cited the Maritime Industry Authority for promoting a skilled maritime workforce and adopting efficient governance systems. Mr. Marcos also gave assurance that his administration would continue to advance the maritime industry and support Filipino seafarers.
