President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. called for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations to have a united voice during 28th meeting of the United Nations’ annual conference on climate change in demanding for climate action.

“ASEAN must call on developed countries to heighten the implementation of their commitments,” Marcos said in his intervention during the Plenary of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta, Indonesia. The implementation of the said measures will help ASEAN members to prevent, mitigate, manage, and adapt to the impacts of climate change, according to the President.
