MANILA, Philippines – Already a two-time Best Import in the PBA, Allen Durham will settle for nothing less than a championship in his fourth stint with the Meralco Bolts in the Governors' Cup.
They missed out on a third straight finals trip in 2018, but are back in the finals of the 2019 edition. Durham, once again, is a candidate for the Best Import award after averaging 30.9 points, 15.2 rebounds, and 6.5 assists for the Bolts, but his eye is on the bigger trophy. He and the Bolts have another chance to be the last team standing, but to do so, they have to take down the team that beat them in the 2016 and 2017 PBA Governors' Cup finals – the Gin Kings.
"Both of those finals were a missed play here and there, came down to the end, you know. It really could've went any way," Durham noted.
