Pasig launches transport microsite

“To help you find the latest announcements and other transport-related information such as biking, free shuttle service around the City, we are launching the Pasig Transport microsite,” the city’s transport office posted on Facebook Saturday. The website contains the latest advisories regarding free shuttle service offered by the local government, as well as the guidelines on the proper use of bike lanes in Pasig City.

As a reminder to commuters amid the pandemic, health and safety measures on public transports were also posted on the website like the wearing of face shields and face masks. The Department of Transportation has required all passengers of public transports to wear face shields in addition to face masks starting August 15 as an added health measure against the coronavirus.

Created in 2017, the Pasig Transport is the official transport office of Pasig City tasked to develop and manage sustainable transportation solutions for the city. Meanwhile, to encourage the public to consider biking as an alternative mode of public transport, the Pasig City government has recently installed 60 bike racks on public establishments. The city government has also set up pop-up bike lanes along some streets in Pasig as more people turn to biking following the suspension of mass transport in Metro Manila.
