The Pasig City Scholarship Program was previously named after former mayor Bobby Eusebio, who now faces a graft case at the Office of the Ombudsman.

POWER TO THE YOUNG. Pasig City enrolls a record 13,000 scholars and enlists 480 young people to its paid internship program. Photo from Vico Sotto's official Facebook page.

In 2020, the city will allot P400 million for the program so that a total 16,000 scholars will get free tuition and“Sa lahat ng ordinansa na naipasa ng Sanggunian so far sa bagong term natin since July, dito ako pinaka na-excite kasi para ito sa kinabukasan ng Pasigueño eh,”The revised scholarship program no longer requires scholars to earn “points” by attending city government events that, Sotto said, were irrelevant to their education and only took their time away from their studies.

“Hindi naman ‘to ideya ng isang politko, o ng isang grupo, o isang partido. Nasa batas ito. Kailangan natin magkaroon ng scholarship programThe Eusebios had a penchant for putting their name on city government projects. The letter E is a ubiquitous fixture on the city’s public infrastructure.

What irks me the most are politicians naming buildings, projects, schools, etc. after themselves. Such shamelessness! The money used to fund these came from people's taxes! If it was their own money,i have no qualms but if it came from tax then isn't that 'epal?' What legacy? Lol.

Galing ni Vico!

tama nmn ...kasi galing nmn s pondo ng city ung ginamit. kung sa personal pocket, pwede i-name sa donor.

Tito Sen baka pwedeng maging role model mo si pamangkin Vico. It's not too late to change your ways.

i know he meant good but erasing somebody else legacy is not.
