Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said that the city’s COVID-19 mortality rate has gone down since the outbreak of the coronavirus disease 2019 in April.

The infographics showed that as May 29, there have been 23 deaths due to COVID-19 and no fatality has been added recently.

Sotto said in the post that: “Of our patients with no co-morbidities, we have had no deaths. This is a good sign.”Overall, 276 persons were admitted while 172 have already recovered and discharged.Pasig has been conducting mass testing through rapid test kits as part of the city government’s efforts to prevent the spread of the disease.

The local government has already set-up several quarantine facilities to make sure that those who test positive for COVID-19 do not put other Pasig residents at risk of infection.
