Pasay mayor urges business establishments to report unauthorized inspections

“It has come to my attention that certain individuals have been representing city hall to check on their commercial or business areas. I have not authorized any such inspections unless they carry a mission order personally signed by me,” Rubiano said.

According to Rubiano, she issued an executive order last January 6 creating the inspection and compliance report team to specifically conduct, assess, inspect establishments in Pasay City. She said that it is composed of representatives from the City Mayor’s Office, Business Permit and Licensing Office , office of the city treasurer, city assessor, city legal officer, city engineer, city health office, city environment and natural resources officer, city disaster risk reduction and management office, and the bureau of fire and protection.

The mayor said the team will jointly inspect the business establishment and no individual inspection is allowed. Rubiano advised businessmen to immediately call the Office of the City Administrator at 8833-3734 or 8833-3738 to verify such inspection teams and seek the assistance of the police at 8831-7433 or 8831-7322.
