The Pasay City government will implement a “control and containment” strategy following a rise in the number of coronavirus cases “unseen during the past several months.

At least 13 from the 201 barangays in the city were already placed on lockdown due to the spike of the number of COVID-19 cases. Acorda said the local police and barangay officials will be augmented by members of the City Environment and Natural Resources Office , the Tricycle-Pedicab Franchising and Regulatory Office, and the Traffic and Parking Management Office to enforce the Inter Agency Task Force protocols.

The city administrator added that the Business Permits and Licensing Office inspection teams will also check on establishments to ensure if they also comply with IATF protocols.
