The MMDA said that a part of the Pasig River has become impassable due to trash.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Tuesday said that a part of the Pasig River has become impassable due to trash. "Hindi passable ang Ilog Pasig sa mga bangka mula PUP hanggang Escolta dahil sa mga nakaharang na basura," MMDA said on its Facebook page. The agency said it is now conducting clean-up operations.

Meanwhile, the MMDA called on the public to be more responsible with their trash disposal.“Maging responsable sa pagtatapon ng basura. —Jiselle Anne C.
